What’s Changing?  We can now see an end of tortuous dismissal processes, clarity on strike ballots, more onerous retrenchment requirements, proper probation periods and clarification, exemptions for small employers and startups on bargaining council rates and dismissal processes, extended powers for the CCMA, limitations on closed shop agreements, exclusion of protection for high earning employees, a new Code of Good Practice on Dismissal, and  payment of workers on standby.
