WEBINAR & BOOKING FORM

TWO ESSENTIAL WEBINARS WITH LABOUR EXPERT ANDREW LEVY

FIRST SESSION: THE NEW DRAFT CODE OF GOOD PRACTICE ON DISMISSAL
SECOND SESSION: THE PAY CLIMATE 2025: OUTLOOK & INTENTIONS

Thursday 13th March 2025 09:00 to 15:30

THE NEW DRAFT CODE: WITHOUT QUESTION THE MOST IMPORTANT LABOUR LAW DEVELOPMENT  SINCE THE PASSING OF THE LABOUR RELATIONS ACT IN 1995

At last sanity prevails with the admission that dismissal processes and procedures are totally dysfunctional. We now have a new Code of Good Practice on Dismissal but like all codes, this needs cracking, enabling you to read between the lines to fully understand what it means and how it can be implemented. During this intensive morning session Andrew Levy will discuss the content and meaning, as well as the practical steps needed to dispense with the endless cost and formality of trying to emulate court procedure.

Because of the importance of the new Code, Andrew will focus on it in its entirety in the first session,  whilst the second  will  cover the equally important Annual Pay Climate & Outlook for 2025.

OUR DOUBLE BILL WEBINAR PROGRAMME YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO MISS

SUPPORTED BY PRACTICAL EXAMPLES Set out in his popular Q&A format, the topics and issues will be discussed in detail and supported by practical guidelines and charts presented  in a clear and understandable format.

The day's programme

THE NEW DRAFT CODE OF PRACTICE DISMISSAL

Key areas will include –

  • History and context of changes
  • An end to super-proceduralism
  • Probation – the gift to prevent you buying trouble
  • Why a hearing is just that – not a court process
  • Using the new Code at the CCMA

THE PAY CLIMATE 2025 : OUTLOOK & INTENTIONS

This will provide you with the latest picture on pay increases across all sectors of the economy to enable pay practitioners to accurately assess the current climate and gain insights with regard to important trends and developments.

Key areas will include –

  • The outlook for the economy, inflation and the labour market
  • Average wages and salary forecasts in  2025
  • Actual sectoral data as well as overall forecasts for salaries and wages
  • Key ratios and measures for your organisation
  • Accurate budgeting for realistic increases in wages and salaries

OUR GUARANTEE The aim of the two sessions is to provide delegates with a clear picture of what can be expected on all fronts, and more importantly take home value in the form of practical advice and guidance that will enable you to deal with pressing issues effectively.

QUESTION TIME There will be an opportunity to ask questions   and to gain additional insight from the interaction with other delegates. We feel sure that your organisation will benefit from this informative overview and provide you with the reassurance you need to  act quickly and decisively  back in the workplace when situations arise.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND? The two sessions are designed to equip personnel involved in pay planning and budgeting with essential information, as well as management, HR, and IR professionals,  who need to keep abreast with important trends in the current labour market.
